Introduction

Peace Public School, Mathilakam, a distinguished CBSE-affiliated institution, continues to uphold its commitment to academic excellence, character building, and social responsibility. Over the past academic year, the collective efforts of our students, educators, and staff have played a vital role in nurturing a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes curiosity, creativity, and all-round development. We proudly reflect on the many accomplishments, milestones, and forward-thinking initiatives that highlight our progress and reaffirm our mission to inspire and equip young learners to become responsible, confident individuals ready to contribute meaningfully to society.

This year has witnessed a dynamic blend of academic rigor and co-curricular engagement, enabling students to explore their full potential. Our dedicated faculty have consistently embraced innovative teaching practices to make learning more engaging and effective. Emphasis on values, discipline, and empathy has further strengthened the moral foundation of our students. Commencement of Academic session 2025-‘26

Reopening of Classes

The new academic session for classes SKG to Grade 10 commenced on 2nd June, ushering in a vibrant beginning for students to strive for scholastic success, discover their talents, and grow personally. The reopening marked a period of enthusiasm and optimism, with students, teachers, and staff returning with refreshed spirits and a shared commitment to learning. It set the tone for a purposeful academic year filled with new opportunities, aspirations, and achievements.

Freshers’ Day

With a spirit of warmth and celebration, Fresher’s Day was held on 4th June to welcome students and help them feel comfortable and connected within the school community. The program created a welcoming platform for students to interact with teachers and peers, build new friendships, and familiarize themselves with the campus and its facilities. The joyful occasion instilled a sense of belonging and enthusiasm, setting an encouraging and positive start to the academic year.

The school community eagerly anticipates a rewarding and enriching year ahead, marked by meaningful learning and personal development. With a strong beginning in place, students are well-prepared to strive for academic success, acquire important life skills, and cherish unforgettable experiences.

Teachers’ Training Programs

At our school, we strongly value continuous professional development and have implemented structured training programs to enhance teachers’ skills and knowledge. In accordance with CBSE guidelines, teachers successfully completed the mandated 50 hours of training through a combination of online and offline sessions, enhancing their teaching practices, subject knowledge, and effective use of technology. This initiative helps improve teaching strategies, classroom management, and overall confidence, enabling teachers to create a more engaging and positive learning environment. As a result, students benefit through better academic support, increased interest in learning, and improved outcomes. Our school remains committed to providing ongoing training to ensure excellence in teaching and holistic student development. Additionally, teachers are encouraged to participate in workshops, seminars, and collaborative learning sessions throughout the year. These opportunities help them stay informed about the latest trends and innovations in education. Regular peer interactions promote the sharing of ideas and best practices among educators. Special focus is also given to developing skills in assessment and evaluation to better track student progress. Training sessions often include practical activities that make learning more effective and applicable in classrooms. Teachers are also guided in integrating values and life skills into their lessons. Continuous feedback and reflection further support their professional growth. The program fosters adaptability, enabling teachers to meet diverse learning needs. It also strengthens their ability to create inclusive and supportive classroom environments. Through these sustained efforts, our school ensures that both teachers and students grow together in a dynamic learning atmosphere.

School Parliament Election

In June, the school successfully conducted its Parliament Election on June 25th, an important event that promotes leadership, democracy, and civic responsibility among students. This well-organized and fair electoral process provided students with a meaningful opportunity to actively participate in democratic practices and develop essential life skills. As part of this initiative, the Babes ‘N’ Tots section also held its election, encouraging leadership qualities from an early age. Students enthusiastically took part in campaign activities, showcasing their ideas, creativity, and leadership potential while gaining a practical understanding of voting procedures, counting of votes, and result declaration, thereby strengthening their awareness of democratic values. The election campaign created an energetic atmosphere in the campus, where candidates actively presented their manifestos and interacted with students to communicate their visions. Classrooms and corridors reflected a spirit of democracy as students participated in debates, discussions, and campaign presentations with great enthusiasm and responsibility.

In the Jems ‘N’ Jewels section, MOHAMMED Rizan K F was elected as Head Boy and Mehanas C P as Head Girl. In the Babes ‘N’ Tots section, Omar Hayyan was elected as Head Boy and Nimra Zehrish as Head Girl. The elected leaders have been entrusted with important responsibilities to represent the student body. They are expected to lead with integrity, discipline, and commitment throughout their tenure. The Investiture Ceremony for the newly elected student leaders was conducted on 3rd July 2025, marking the formal induction of the student council.

Celebrating National Pride

Our school proudly observes the nation’s most important occasions, Independence Day and Republic Day, with great enthusiasm and respect. These celebrations are conducted with dignity and festive spirit, nurturing a strong sense of patriotism and national pride among students. The 79th Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The event began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest, followed by the National Anthem sung by the school choir, filling the atmosphere with pride and devotion.

To mark these significant days, a variety of engaging activities were organized, providing students with opportunities to express their creativity and love for the country. Events such as patriotic song competitions allowed students to showcase their vocal talent and national spirit, while poster-making activities enabled them to artistically depict India’s rich heritage and cultural diversity. Students also actively participated in flag-making activities, symbolizing unity, integrity, and pride in the nation. Digital poster design competition for classes 7–9, quiz competition (house-wise), poster making competition for classes 3–5, and patriotic song presentation were also conducted, encouraging active participation and enhancing students’ knowledge of national history and values. In addition, the Babes ‘N’ Tots department conducted special programmes including national flag colouring, a rally, and a fancy dress competition based on Independence Day themes, which helped instill patriotic values in young learners in a joyful and engaging manner. These programmes played a vital role in strengthening patriotic values and helping students develop a deeper appreciation for India’s history, democratic principles, and cultural richness.

Environment Day

Our school observed Environment Day with great zeal, aiming to create awareness among students about the importance of protecting and preserving the environment. Kindergarten students were encouraged to plant saplings, helping them understand the value of greenery and nurturing nature from an early age. Students of higher classes were involved in recycling activities, where they creatively transformed waste plastic materials into useful items, promoting sustainability and innovation.

As part of the Jems ‘N’ Jewels activities, vegetable seeds were distributed among students to encourage home gardening and eco-friendly practices. A guava sapling was also planted within the school premises along with the Principal, symbolizing collective responsibility towards nature. In the Babes ‘N’ Tots section, students engaged in creative hands-on activities by making bracelets using natural materials such as flowers, leaves, grass, and seeds. They also participated in setting up a small garden by arranging pots with soil and sowing seeds, helping them develop a sense of care and responsibility towards plants and the environment.

Sports Day

The Annual Sports Day of our school was celebrated with great enthusiasm and energy on the school grounds. The event was held on a bright and pleasant morning, with students, teachers, and parents gathering to witness the exciting sporting activities. The programme commenced with a formal inauguration, where our beloved Principal Mrs. Sophiya Thajudheen hoisted the flag and declared the Sports Meet open. This was followed by a colourful and disciplined march past by students and house leaders, reflecting unity, coordination, and true school spirit. Various track and field events created a lively atmosphere filled with energy, enthusiasm, and healthy competition. The celebration concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where winners were awarded medals and certificates, and all participants were appreciated for their efforts, making the day memorable for everyone.

Under “FUNATHON,” the Babes ‘N’ Tots section participated in a variety of enjoyable and age-appropriate activities such as running race, high jump, shot put, skating, walking with balloon, obstacle course, and aiming games. These events provided young learners with a joyful sporting experience while enhancing their confidence, coordination, and teamwork skills.

For the Jems ‘N’ Jewels department, the Sports Day was conducted under the title “ATHLEON,” featuring competitive events such as races, jumps, javelin throw, shot put, and relay races. The students exhibited remarkable athletic abilities, discipline, and sportsmanship throughout the events, making ATHLEON a vibrant celebration of physical fitness, excellence, and team spirit.

I Love English

To enhance students’ proficiency and confidence in the English language, our school has been conducting a dedicated programme titled “I Love English.” This initiative offers a series of engaging and age-appropriate activities such as storytelling, word games, role plays, debates, reading sessions, and creative writing exercises. Through these interactive activities, students are encouraged to communicate effectively, enrich their vocabulary, and develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The programme has received an enthusiastic response from students and teachers alike and has proved to be highly beneficial in nurturing a love for the English language and improving overall language competency.

Little Scientist

The Science Department of our school introduced an engaging programme titled “Little Scientist” to spark curiosity and develop scientific thinking among students. Through this initiative, teachers demonstrate a variety of simple and innovative experiments in an interactive and hands-on manner, helping students connect scientific concepts with real-life applications. The sessions encourage inquiry-based learning, observation, and critical thinking, while also motivating students to replicate similar experiments at home under guidance. This programme effectively nurtures a scientific temperament and enhances problem-solving skills among learners.

As part of the activities, students explored fascinating experiments such as the paper boat vacuum experiment, where a paper boat is drawn into a glass due to air pressure changes, and the dancing man experiment, where a tissue paper figure moves towards a balloon due to static electricity. They also observed capillary action using coloured water and paper towels, and understood pressure differences through a candle-in-water experiment. Other interesting activities included dancing corn using vinegar, baking soda, water, and popcorn kernels, turmeric magic experiments using turmeric, detergent solution, water, and lemon juice, and dancing salt experiments that demonstrate sound vibrations. Students also investigated non-Newtonian fluids to observe how materials behave differently under slow and fast pressure, studied polymer experiments to see powder transform into a jelly-like substance, and discussed invisible fire to understand cause-and-effect relationships, further strengthening their curiosity and scientific understanding.

Peace Day – VELASTRA 2026

The school joyfully celebrated its 15th Annual Day, “VELASTRA 2025,” with great grandeur and enthusiasm on 5th December 2025. The event served as a vibrant platform for students to showcase their talents, creativity, and achievements. The programme commenced with a warm and cordial welcome, followed by inspiring addresses from the dignitaries, which set a positive and uplifting tone for the celebration.

The cultural segment featured a wide range of performances, including Oppana, drama, Duff music, mime, dances, skits, and thematic presentations, all of which highlighted the students’ confidence, coordination, and artistic expression. Each performance reflected the dedication, hard work, and teamwork of both students and teachers in making the event a grand success. The celebration truly reflected the institution’s commitment to holistic education and left a lasting impression on the audience.

Kids Athletic Meet 2026 – TURBO TYKES

The Sahodaya Kids Athletic Meet, titled “TURBO TYKES 2026,” was conducted with great enthusiasm and energy on 07/02/2026 at our school. Organized under the guidance of Thrissur Central Sahodaya, the event aimed to promote physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship among young learners. Students from various schools participated with great excitement, showcasing their talents in a range of sports and fun-filled activities. The programme began with a warm welcome followed by a well-coordinated opening ceremony featuring a march past by the participating students, which reflected discipline, unity, and spirit.

Throughout the day, children actively engaged in all events with enthusiasm and displayed commendable sportsmanship. Teachers and volunteers ensured smooth conduct of all activities with proper care and safety measures. The highlight of the event was the prize distribution ceremony, where winners were honoured with medals and certificates, while all participants were appreciated for their efforts. The meet concluded successfully, leaving behind a sense of joy, unity, and healthy competition among the children, and reinforcing the importance of physical activity in overall student development.

Talent Fiesta – SPARKLE FEST

The school proudly organized a vibrant Talent Fiesta titled “SPARKLE FEST” on 07/08/2025, offering students a dynamic platform to exhibit their talents and creative abilities. The event featured a wide range of performances and activities, including music, dance, art, literary presentations, and various skill-based showcases, allowing students to express their individuality and passion. The programme was designed with the motto “Unleashing Creativity, Celebrating Passion, and Shining Together in a Festival of Art, Expression and Talent,” which truly reflected the spirit of the event.

SPARKLE FEST aimed at building confidence, enhancing creativity, and developing stage presence among students while promoting healthy competition and teamwork. The enthusiastic participation of students, along with the constant support and guidance of teachers and parents, contributed greatly to the success of the event. The fiesta stood out as a memorable occasion in the academic year, celebrating the diverse talents and artistic spirit of the student community.

Peace Expo

Our school successfully organized the exhibition “Peace Expo” on 31st January 2026 as a real-life experiential learning initiative promoting creativity, innovation, culture, and entrepreneurship. The event featured Entrepreneurship Stalls where students, parents, and participants showcased products and business ideas, gaining practical exposure to planning, budgeting, marketing, and customer interaction. It also included an Art Gallery, Robotics Expo, Islamic Exhibition, and Fun Games to develop creativity, scientific thinking, and teamwork.

A vibrant cultural programme presented Duff, Spanish, Turkish, Oppana (Boys), Punjabi, and Chinese dances, highlighting cultural diversity. Sports activities like basketball, skating, and karate promoted fitness, discipline, and confidence. A Blood Donation Camp was also conducted to encourage empathy and social responsibility.

Awards for Best Student Stall and Best Adult Stall were presented by judges Mr. Abdul Rashid, Mr. Suhail P. T., and Mr. Ibrahim K. M. The winners were Stall No. B04 – Naturista by Rahmath Yakoob and Stall No. ST04 – Naina Fathima.The expo was a great success, providing students with valuable real-world learning experiences.

Colour Day

In the Babes’n’Tots section, a unique and child-focused approach is adopted to make learning both enjoyable and meaningful. The play-way method serves as the core teaching strategy, allowing children to explore and understand concepts through hands-on activities. One of the key initiatives is the celebration of Colour Day, where a specific colour is chosen and observed every alternate month. This activity helps children not only recognize and name colours but also gain a broader understanding of related concepts in an engaging and memorable way. Such creative practices foster curiosity, enhance imagination, and promote a deeper understanding of the world around them.

The primary objective of this initiative is to strengthen children’s observation and identification skills in a playful environment. It also aims to enhance their language development by encouraging them to describe objects and experiences related to the chosen colour. Furthermore, Colour Day promotes social interaction and participation, helping children build confidence and express themselves freely.

Achievements in Arts

The academic year witnessed remarkable accomplishments in the field of arts, with our students bringing distinction to the institution through their exemplary performances at the TCS Kalolsav competition. Displaying exceptional creativity, dedication, and artistic excellence across a diverse range of events, the school secured an impressive 16th position, despite not participating in one category and 32 events. This achievement stands as a testament to the talent, perseverance, and commitment of our students. Notably, a significant majority of participants were awarded A grades, reflecting the high standards of performance consistently upheld.

Further strengthening the culture of artistic expression, the Art Department inaugurated a permanent art gallery as part of the school exhibition. This thoughtfully curated space showcases an array of students’ artworks alongside diverse creative displays, celebrating originality and aesthetic sensibility. The initiative serves as an enduring platform to inspire young artists, foster creative confidence, and cultivate a deep appreciation for the arts within the school community.

Achievements in Sports

The school marked a year of outstanding accomplishment in sports through its commendable participation in the TCS competitions, where students displayed exceptional talent, determination, and exemplary sportsmanship. Their consistent performance across a wide spectrum of athletic and team events earned the institution significant recognition and accolades.

In Table Tennis (Under-12), both the boys’ and girls’ teams secured the Second Runner-up position, demonstrating remarkable precision and competitive spirit. The Under-14 Girls’ Kho Kho team further added to the school’s achievements by attaining the Second Runner-up position through their agility and teamwork.

The school achieved notable success in Basketball, with all teams delivering stellar performances. The Under-14 Boys and Girls teams as well as the Under-17 Boys and Girls teams each secured the First Runner-up position, reflecting consistency and high standards of play across categories. These achievements collectively led to the school securing an impressive Overall Second Position in basketball.

A highlight of the year was the exceptional performance in Kids Athletics, where the school emerged as Overall Champions, underscoring its dominance in track and field events. In Category 1, the boys secured the Second Runner-up position while the girls achieved the First Runner-up position. In Category 2, the boys clinched the First Position, earning the title of Overall Champions. In Category 3, the boys secured the First Runner-up position and the girls the Second Runner-up position. In Category 4, the boys attained the First Position, while the girls secured the First Runner-up position.

These accomplishments stand as a testament to the students’ perseverance, rigorous training, and competitive excellence, as well as the school’s unwavering commitment to fostering a strong sporting culture and holistic development.

Math Talent Hunt

The school takes immense pride in the outstanding achievement of its students in the Math Talent Hunt, where 30 students qualified as finalists, reflecting a strong foundation in mathematical aptitude and analytical thinking. Among these accomplished participants, Zara Mariam of Grade 1 distinguished herself by securing the Second Position in her category, an achievement that highlights her exceptional talent and dedication at a very young age.

This commendable accomplishment underscores the school’s commitment to nurturing logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and academic excellence, while encouraging students to strive for distinction in competitive platforms.

Lahari Muktha Vidyalayam-Karuthalay Kavalay Project

Our students have brought great pride to the institution through their remarkable achievements in the Karuthalay Kavalay Project competitions.

In the Painting Competition, our students secured the First Position, with Keerthana K.R., Maryam Binth Jinad, and Huda Mehzin demonstrating exceptional creativity and artistic excellence. The Second Position was also secured by Aiminah Yousuf, Ayisha Ashraf, and Faizan Ahmed, reflecting commendable teamwork and talent.

In the Pencil Drawing Competition, our students once again excelled, with Ayisha Ashraf and Fathima K.M. achieving the First Position, while Minha T.N. and Swabir Jawad secured the Second Position, showcasing impressive skill and attention to detail.

In the English Speech Competition, Haleema Rahim earned the First Position with outstanding confidence and eloquence. Liya Nasrin secured the Second Position, further highlighting the oratorical strengths of our students.

In the Malayalam Speech Competition, P.S. Mohammad Bilal secured the First Position with remarkable fluency and expression, while Aamil Ihab achieved the Second Position.

These achievements stand as a proud reflection of the dedication, talent, and perseverance of our students, along with the continuous support and guidance provided by the institution. These accomplishments also highlight the emphasis placed on co-curricular excellence and holistic development. The consistent success across diverse competitions demonstrates the strong foundation and encouragement provided to our learners. Such achievements inspire the entire student community to strive for higher standards and continued excellence.

Assessments & Evaluation

Students of Gems’n’Jewels were assessed through four Periodic Assessments and two Term-End Assessments. In the Babes’n’Tots section, evaluation was carried out through six planned cycles that focused on different activities and the overall development of each child.

At the end of the academic year, a detailed performance report for every child was prepared and shared with parents. This helped maintain transparency and allowed parents to clearly understand and follow their child’s progress and development.

Regular feedback was also provided to students to help them improve their learning outcomes. Teachers used a variety of assessment methods to ensure a fair and comprehensive evaluation of each child. The overall assessment system aimed to support continuous growth and encourage students to achieve their best.
